Travis Mercer
Travis Mercer is a comic-book illustrator currently residing in Denver, Colorado, where he lives in a “Hobbit House Studio” with his dog Bering. He is a freelance artist with published credits primarily with DC Comics. He has worked on Action Comics, Batman/Superman: World’s Finest, Superboy: The Man of Tomorrow, Black Adam – The Justice Society Files, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Red Hood: Outlaw, Cyborg, the seasonal special ’Tis the Season to Be Freezin’, and the graphic novel Superman: A Friendship Unleashed. In addition to his credited page work, some of his better-known variant covers among collectors appear on Titans, Young Justice, and Justice Society of America.
Mercer’s work for IDW includes regular covers and art on Star Trek spin-offs such as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – The Seeds of Salvation, where he served as the artist and cover artist for multiple issues. In the same publisher’s catalog, Mercer has produced variant covers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, including special variant art noted on issues such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #17.
