Rachael Mayo

Rachael Mayo is a fantasy and SF artist from the Kansas City, Missouri area. She earned a BFA in Illustration from University of Central Missouri in 1999. She considers art her foremost hobby and spends most hours outside of her day job drawing and coloring fantastically detailed creatures. Rachael prefers traditional art mediums and specializes in combination techniques that include watercolor, colored pencil, paint, pens, ink, acrylic, and 3D objects. She also designs drawings to color, and has four coloring books published to date.

Thrifty Revisions: Nautical Makeovers for Found Art

Transform thrift-store finds into maritime masterpieces in this hands-on art panel. Artists will take reclaimed paintings and prints and add nautical touches such as sea serpents, ghost ships, krakens, merfolk, and stormy skies. All supplies are provided, and the finished pieces will be donated to the charity raffle. Join us for a creative way to mix art, oceanic imagination, and a good cause.
